The Fuel

Carbohydrate

is working fuel.

Carbohydrate is one of the body’s primary fuel sources during endurance exercise.

As the effort gets longer or harder, the demand for carbohydrate can increase — making fueling part of the performance equation.

Shorter / EasierLonger / Harder

Carbohydrate relevance increases with duration and intensity.

The question isn’t just whether to fuel.
It’s how you deliver it.

The Delivery

One Source.

One Route.

A single carbohydrate type relies primarily on its corresponding intestinal transport pathway to move from the gut into circulation. As carbohydrate intake rises, endurance fueling strategies often combine complementary carbohydrate sources rather than relying on a single source alone.

Two sources.
More than one route.

Different carbohydrate types can use different intestinal transport mechanisms. Combining complementary sources is a common approach in endurance fueling once carbohydrate intake increases.

The Formulation

Roo Carbs combines
Cluster Dextrin® + Fructose.

Cluster Dextrin® provides the glucose-based side of the system, while fructose contributes a complementary carbohydrate source.

Two sources.
One deliberate ratio.

The Ratio

Fructose

0.8 Part

ROO CARBS uses a 1:0.8 ratio of Cluster Dextrin® to fructose. For every 1 part of the glucose-based carbohydrate source, the blend uses 0.8 parts fructose.

Two complementary carbohydrate sources, combined in one deliberate formulation.

25g

Carbohydrate Per Scoop

Each scoop of ROO CARBS provides 25g of total carbohydrate, delivered through the 1:0.8 Cluster Dextrin®-to-fructose system described above.

The Source

Why Cluster

Dextrin®?

Cluster Dextrin® is a highly branched cyclic dextrin used as the glucose-based carbohydrate source in ROO CARBS.

We chose it because it gives the glucose-based side of the system a clean, purpose-built role inside the 1:0.8 carbohydrate blend.

Dual-Carbohydrate System

Not the whole system.
One side of it.

Cluster Dextrin® is not ROO CARBS by itself. It works alongside fructose as one half of the dual-carbohydrate strategy.

Fuel is only one part
of the system.

ROO CARBS also delivers electrolytes alongside its carbohydrate system — which is where the relationship with ROO SALT comes into focus.

The System

Fuel.
Hydration.

Adjust both.

Endurance demands are not fixed. Fuel needs change with the effort. Electrolyte needs can change with duration, conditions, and the athlete.

ROO CARBS and ROO SALT separate those jobs so each can be adjusted with purpose.

Two tools.
Two primary jobs.
One adjustable system.

The effort changes.
So can the input.

Shorter / Lower Demand

Fuel and electrolyte needs may be lower.

Longer / Higher Demand

Carbohydrate demand can increase.

Hotter / Higher Sweat Loss

Electrolyte replacement may become more important.

Don’t force the effort
into a fixed formula.
Build around the work.

Start with the demands of the session, learn how you respond, and adjust fuel and electrolytes from there.
